Introduction

Ella
Ella is a small town in the Badulla District of Uva Province, Sri Lanka governed by an Urban Council. It is approximately 200 kilometres (120 mi) east of Colombo and is situated at an elevation of 1,041 metres (3,415 ft) above sea level.The area has a rich bio-diversity, dense with numerous varieties of flora and fauna. Ella is surrounded by hills covered with cloud forests and tea plantations. The town has a cooler climate than surrounding lowlands, due to its elevation. The Ella Gap allows views across the southern plains of Sri Lanka.

Mirissa
Fringing two sandy bays separated by a rock island reachable at low tide, Mirissa feels hidden away compared to Sri Lanka’s other busier resort towns. While the quiet sands are sprinkled with bars and surf rentals, it’s Mirissa’s May-to-November whale-watching boat trips that steal the show.
Mirissa is renowned for its namesake Mirissa Beach, nightlife, and whale and dolphin watching.Mirissa is the largest fishing port on the south coast and is known for its tuna, mullet, snapper, and butterfish.
Adams peak
Adam's Peak is a 2,243 m (7,359 ft) tall conical sacred mountain located in central Sri Lanka.It is well known for the Sri Pada (sacred footprint'), a 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) rock formation near the summit whose name is also used for the mountain itself. In Buddhist tradition the print is held to be the footprint of the Buddha, in Sri Lankan Hindu tradition that of Hanuman or Shiva
Total hike is approximately 6kms long but takes around 5-6 hours to reach the top. Adam's peak is a pilgrimage symbol of buddhists, where most locals climbs it during the season from December to May. Best time to climb the mountain us atarting from night, targeting to reach the top by early morning.
Trincomalee
Trincomalee (Trinco) sits on one of the world’s finest natural harbors. This historic city is old almost beyond reckoning: it’s possibly the site of historic Gokana in the Mahavamsa (Great Chronicle), and its Shiva temple the site of Trikuta Hill in the Hindu text Vayu Purana. It makes a great stop over on the way to the nearby beaches of Uppuveli and Nilaveli.
Nuwaraeliye
Many locals visit Nuwara Eliya during April/May which are the warmest months when Colombo’s elite seek the relief of its cooling invigorating climate. Most British visitors feel that they are in England when they visit Nuwara Eliya. In fact all foreign visitors to Sri Lanka always make it a point to visit Nuwara Eliya to enjoy its ‘Home away from Home” feeling. Hence the name “Little England” which is a name given by many foreign visitors. The pink brick Victorian Post office is a sure reminder of the British era.
